Join Michael Dougherty, author of The Wreck of the Faithful Steward on Delaware’s False Cape, for a conversation at Lewes Public Library on Friday, September 8 at 5:00 PM. The Coastal Chronicles lecture series is a collaborative effort of the Zwaanendael Museum and Lewes Public Library.

Hear from Michael Dougherty, author of The Wreck of the Faithful Steward on Delaware’s False Cape (The History Press) , the story of the 1785 voyage of Irish migrants who took to the Atlantic in the hopes of reaching the United States. The recently-published scholarly narrative speaks on immigration, trade, and the loss of the ship with several intriguing references to George Washington.
